INDIANAPOLIS -- Washington keeps finding ways to break through old, stubborn barriers. Even in the unlikeliest place of all -- Indiana. Bradley Beal scored 14 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, Trevor Ariza added 22 and the Wizards held off the Pacers with a stout defence over the final 7 1/2 minutes Monday night to get a 102-96 win in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. It was Washingtons first second-round win in 32 years. "We know its a tough building to play in. We havent won here in a while," Ariza said after the Wizards snapped a 12-game losing streak in Indy. "Why wouldnt this be the best time to come here and get a win -- in the playoffs?" The Wizards know there is a lot more work to do in this best-of-seven series. Game 2 is Wednesday in Indianapolis. So far, though, things have gone well for the upstart Wizards. After clinching their first playoff berth since 2008, the Wizards have advanced to the second round for the first time since 2005, won at Indiana for the first time since April 18, 2007, and have their first second-round win since April 28, 1982. Washington has opened these playoffs with four straight road wins and put the pressure right back on the top seed in the Eastern Conference. It doesnt get better than that for a young team that beat Chicago 4-1 in the opening round. "The way I think about it, Im 20 years old, Im playing in the playoffs, something Ive always dreamed of. Why not embrace it?" Beal said. "Why not accept the challenge and have fun with it? Thats all Im doing -- having fun." For the Pacers, it was another kick in the pants. After salvaging their season with two straight wins to beat Atlanta in seven games, Indiana lost Game 1 for the second straight series and for many of the same reasons. They were outrebounded 53-36 and were outscored 19-5 on second-chance points. They got beat outside as Washington made a franchise playoff-record 10 3-pointers with Ariza going 6 of 6. They got no points and no rebounds from 7-foot-2 centre Roy Hibbert, who has looked nothing like the All-Star he was during the first half of the season. And when they were desperately trying to rally in the fourth quarter, Indiana went 7 minutes without a basket. Things got so frustrating that even the emotional Lance Stephenson lost his cool and snapped at coach Frank Vogel when he was yanked with 1 minute to play in the third quarter. Vogel said he took Stephenson out because he didnt want him playing 48 minutes. Stephenson said he was mostly mad at himself. "I waited too late," Stephenson said. "Third quarter was too late to turn (it) up. I mean we need to come out first quarter and turn (it) up and get everybody going so the second half we could already have that pace." Paul George and George Hill scored 18 points each to lead the Pacers, though half of Hills points came on three 3s in the final minute when it was too late to come back. David West added 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Wizards trailed once all game, 31-30, and retook the lead on the ensuing possession. But Washington won this one in large part because it beat Indiana at its own game. Marcin Gortat had 15 rebounds, six on the offensive end where Washington held a 17-6 advantage. The defence limited Indiana to 40.7 per cent shooting and never allowed them to get closer than six points until the final minute of the game. By then it was too late. Washington jumped to an 8-0 lead and led 28-15 lead at the end of the first quarter. After the Pacers charged back to take the lead, the Wizards closed the half with a decisive 17-6 run to make it 56-43. Washington took its biggest lead of the game, 68-52, midway through the third quarter with the Pacers in full catch-up mode. Indiana got within six late in the third, within seven early in the fourth and within five when Hill hit a 3 with 23.6 seconds to go. That was as close the Pacers got. "We won one game here in Indiana, but we still have to get three more," Beal said. "We have to be more desperate each and every game." NOTES: Washington has won seven straight on the road and nine of its last 10 including the regular season. ... Indiana held Washington to 66 points on Jan. 10, the lowest single-game point total in the NBA this season. It took the Wizards only 26:02 to top that mark Monday. ... Washington shot 62.5 per cent from 3-point range (10 of 16), the best against Indiana this season. ... Robert Mathis and Reggie Wayne of the Colts attended the game.
Pedro Geromel Jersey . LOUIS -- David Ross never expected to be on a World Series podium.
Fernandinho Jersey . Osmond, of Marystown, N.L., fell in the middle of her routine and placed fifth in the ladies free skate at Iceberg Skating Palace (110.73 points), but that was all the Canadians needed after a strong performance by Kevin Reynolds in the mens free earlier Sunday.

Philippe Coutinho Brazil Jersey .J. - Several people have collapsed in an overcrowded New Jersey train station while waiting in long lines to get to the Super Bowl. The next morning we rolled into Moncton… With a few online interviews to deal with, and one radio at C103 (killer station!) that Stuart and I covered off so JM could relax and sleep it off with various cold meds.At sound check time in Halifax Jeff looked significantly better… But I was cautioning him to keep his vocals in check and to not give it all out at the VIP sound party. The VIP portion of our sound check went off without a hitch and JM was testing the limits of his vocal range.Come showtime the band had a meeting to go over the set list and see if anything should be changed to ease the strain on his vocal chords… We added Heaven Coming Down and took out a Lullaby. Halfway into the set I was pretty stoked… Martin was hoping holding up well and the band was playing shit hot. The audience reaction was very very surprising, not that I didnt expect any less from Moncton but it was over-the-top!Post show we all wound up on the bus, I got to catch up with an old record company friend, and we rolled out of there at 3AM. We are now 1/2 hour outside of Quebec City for a day off until we leave for London Ontario tomorrow at 3AM once again. Check back with you all after the London show…Follow me on Twitter here: @burrowsdrumsL.A.M.F.JB Monday, November 24We arrived in Quebec City on Saturday at around 12 noon. It was absolutely freezing but beautiful outside. JM flew himself from Moncton to Toronto for his day off as he has some personal business to take care of, personal but very exciting! Stuart and I are sharing a dayroom so we can shower and get some emails, and interviews done before our 9 PM bus call. I spent the day outside of the old city and was touring around quite a bit. I never like hanging around the hotel rooms too long, its pretty boring and when youre fortunate to go to as many cities as we do want to take it all in, right?Later that day Stuart, Linda our Merch lady and I set off for dinner. We hit up this place called 495 where every item on the menu is $4.95… Not that were cheap, but we heard that the food was exceptional and it was! I like going for dinner with Stuart, hes always keen on trying new things especially in the beer and wine selections - we enjoyed a few different local IPAs and another from Montreal...9 PM rolled around and the bus was ready to leave for an overnight drive to London Ontario. It was nice to hang out with the technical crew at such an early hour in the evening as opposed to post showtime at 1 AM… These guys are great - like I said beefore quite young, but veterans of the business.dddddddddddd Everybody hit the bunks by around midnight and all was running smoothly… Until the bus pulled over, then crept forward, and pulled over again, then crept forward, and eventually coming to a stop…we blew out our radiator! Of all places to blow out a radiator I could think of no better place than Cornwall, Ontario. Nothing against Cornwall, but its quite a distance from there to our destination of London Ontario. Turns out the situation could have been much worse and we wouldve had to offload all the gear and luggage, etc. but as things go we were able to drive the bus at minimum speed, 75 to 80 km an hour. By the time we got to London it was almost time to do press at radio, so we had to change and clean up quick on the bus, which is never much fun.We met Jeff Martin at FM96 just in time for the first interview… He was driven by our wine manager and good friend Joel. JM, who is an absolute sweetheart by nature is often a grumpy bear before 2 PM and really wasnt in the mood to sing…lol but in true Martin form he pulled it off in pro form. Next we were off to FreeFM just up the road. This was a great set up, with pizza, wings, and some contest winners to boot…it was a half an hour to 45 minute special on the band featuring all tracks and new cuts off the album including the 8+ minute title track! Truly a killer radio event, which we were most appreciative of.We headed back to the London Concert Theatre in time for Sound check and the VIP party. That went off without a hitch and the fans here seem pretty excited for the show tonight. I headed back onto the bus for a much needed nap after our on again off again sleep from Cornwall to here. Come show time everyone was rested, primed, and pumped to blow some minds… I hope Im not sounding arrogant, but the band is really getting in great shape and are pulling off some musical theatrics like we havent done in many many years.Wow! What a show… This is the London Ontario I remember when we first broke in 1991. London audiences have always been fans from other cities coming into London and I have always proved to be rowdy and boisterous. Thank you so much! Back on the bus to catch up with some old friends once again and enjoy some fine wine brought in by our Toronto Maple Leafs fan… Boo!!! But thanks for the wine… Ill catch up with you all on our next day off after the Hamilton show. Until then be well be safe and enjoy your day! Cheers,L.A.M.F.JB
